OK....I've had an obsession with scarves for awhile. I always hate packing them away with my sweaters, but alas! Enter the crinkle scarf... These aren't new or anything, but I really like the amount of stores carrying them this year-lots of variety. Here are a few that caught my eye:

Valentino

OMG! This film is amazing!

I went to see Valentino: The Last Emperor last night. (Yes, the movie theater spelled it wrong in the pic above. :)) Not only was it interesting, but really fun and touching. I laughed...I cried. Etc. It seems to be playing in most major cities currently and will open in more theaters soon.If you're interested, you can get more information here. I highly recommend it!

Varnish Nails

One of my new favorite nail salons is Varnish Nails (it just reopened in Beverly Hills; it used to be on Melrose).

What a fun place! The nail salon is upstairs from a really great boutique, Nicola Bertti (pic below). They also have their own brand of nail polish in fab colors. I got a great coral color this visit-right in time for the summer weather we are having this weekend!They are having a special until June:$25 for a mani-pedi, which is a steal for Beverly Hills.

Hats

I watched Easter Parade over the weekend and was envious of all the women wearing their Easter bonnets. I looooove hats. I wish people wore them more. I wish I wore them more. My favorite hats are by Eugenia Kim. They are fabulous.

Breakfast

My favorite place for a low-key breakfast in LA is Theresa's in Burbank. It's a family restaurant that makes you feel like you're at a diner in a small town instead of a large, sprawling city. The staff is very attentive and friendly and they always have flyers for local goings-on. I always get the "spa omelet" (egg whites, mushroom, broccoli, tomatoes, zucchini, and avocado-I hold the onions) with wheat toast and fruit.

So I signed up for Goodreads a few days ago. I recommend this for other bookworms out there. You can keep track of what books you've read in the past and your favorite quotes and keep a "to read" list (no more lists and post-its!). You also have the ability to review books you've read and receive recommendations from other members. Don't know anyone who would like to start a book club? Join one on Goodreads! The Hills Are Alive with the Sound of Speidi

Yes, our favorite guilty pleasure is back for what might be its final season (we'll see). The season premiere is tonight at 10pm on MTV. I'm probably going to record it and watch tomorrow. Let me know if it's any good!

Mark your calendars, ladies!!! Rumor has it that the Sex and the City: The Movie sequel is due out on May 28, 2010!!! It seems far off, but I'm sure it'll be worth the wait; afterall, the first one was!

Keys...

So I opened my new issue of Glamour and what advertisement did I see???

An "oooohhhhh" (Glinda style) immediately escaped from my lips. I suggested that my bf get me one because they remind me of him as "he has the key to my heart." Unfortunately, he saw through the b.s. as he usually does. For this round...Boy: 1, Girl: Zip. ;)
