So Long, Weekend...

Sigh. I hate Mondays. I like Monday nights though so that's something to look forward to! My weekend was insane. Other than doing a ton of work and running errands, some of the fun highlights included:

Mexican with friends

Couch shopping (and purchasing!)

Drinks with a girlfriend
Online browsing and wishlist selection :)

Cleobella Cantina Mini Bag (which just sold out!)

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (love this show)

Thanks to a few gift cards, I was able to stay within budget despite my ventures out. How was your weekend? XOXO

Brandy & Melville!

O.K. I "heart" Brandy & Melville, a fairly new boutique in Westwood, CA. I initially went in because the sign said "from Italy with love" and I'm obsessed with Italy and the window display was too cute.

I was not disappointed! This is the kind of store where you want to dive right in and play dress up the moment you walk through the door.

I really liked their selection of soft, stylish tees and fun accessories-all at reasonable prices. (Most items ranged from $10-$60.)

A few posts ago I spoke about my credit card getting a good workout lately-my trip here contributed some muscle. I found so many pieces that had to escort me home, including my own personal "girl in the green scarf" scarf. After seeing Confessions of a Shopaholic I have been on a quest for a green scarf. I found the perfect lightweight spring equivalent. Pics to come!

If you would like to check out the only Brandy & Melville in the U.S., the address is below. Happy Shopping!

Meet Me on the Equinox

Happy Spring! Sorry for being MIA lately...long story and definitely not interesting!
I spent the first day of spring running errands, but as it was a beautiful day, I made time to visit my favorite frozen yogurt spot, Yogurtland. The peanut butter flavor is amazing and with a butterfinger or heath bar crunch topping? OMG.

I was a little sad to see the arrival of spring as I was still in sweaters and tights mode, but now I'm inspired. I am definitely into pastels, florals, and frills this year. I think I will have to add the following items to my wardrobe! (Well the ones within budget of course!) How did you spend the first day of spring?

Items: 1. Valentino-Rouches Napa Hobo at Neiman Marcus 2. Garden Party Wool Wrap at Kate Spade 3. Mesh Mini Skirt by Boutique at Topshop 4. Watercolor Print Tank at Banana Republic 5. Gossamer Lei Necklace at Anthropologie 6. Linen Boyfriend Cardigan at Banana Republic 7. Print Full Volume Organza and Chiffon Dress at Elie Saab 8. Be & D Ikat New Kan-Kan Tote in Grey at Zappos Couture 9. Pins and Needles Silky Ruffle Jumper at Urban Outfitters 10. AE Garden Pleat Dress at American Eagle 11. Cordoba Dress in Miranda Ruffles Multi at DVF 12. Ruffled Sweetheart-Neckline Dress at Express.

My Credit Card is in Better Shape than I am!

Whew! The ol' CC has been definitely getting a workout! I broke my "no shopping" spree and bought a few things this week. I deserve them, right? Riiiiiiiight.....

First, I fell off the wagon with my We Love Colors purchase. I cannot tell you how excited I was when they arrived in the mail! (I bought them in red, maroon, rubine, emerald, and yellow.)

I progressively moved onto bigger items. Friday, I visited the salon and after the local TJ Maxx. I went strictly to look at home goods as I just moved to a new apartment. However, I was quickly carried away by the Fendi and Gucci handbags. Oops! With foam at the mouth, I went a little crazy and had to call my sponsor, my mother. She told me to put one of the bags back. I ended up leaving with you guessed it-- a shirt, belt, and purse--and nothing for the apartment!

The most exciting, however, was buying my plane ticket to Boston to see my sorority sisters in April. I am desperately in need of a girls' weekend. I-can-NOT-wait!

So today I put CC back in her hiding spot and went out to a champagne brunch. Ahh... the perfect way to start Oscar Sunday...

What have you been up to?

A Little Jake and a Little Thai

When I got home from work last night, I was done. G. ordered us Thai for dinner while I showered and washed that day out of my hair! Then I settled in for a blissful 3 hours in front of the TV. It felt so good to do nothing for a change!

So of course I watched The Bachelor season finale (yes, judge me!) and I went to bed with On The Wings Of Love stuck in my bed. I can't believe they got Neil Lane! The engagement ring is gorgeous!!!
