Spring Fever

Ahhhhhh....spring fever. Butterflies in the stomach, love is in the air, and everything is looking up. (Now if it weren't for those pesky seasonal allergies...)

I received my first postcard from postcrossing today! It arrived from Australia where it is currently autumn, but the postcard definitely screams "spring!"

Reading

Right now I'm reading One Fifth Avenue by Candace Bushnell. It's everything you would expect-smart and funny. I'm trying to finish it soon so I don't have to pay any fines to the library.

I like to imagine I'm the girl on the lower-left corner. :)

Yesterday, I found a Border's Express that was closing. I try not to buy too many books, but I went a little crazy at the sale. I figure it's almost time to spend weekends at the beach in SoCal so why not start stocking up on summer reading now? Luckily, I found a plethora of books I've been meaning to read...this is what I ended up purchasing:

Stella

I wore my new Stella perfume today. Something about it reminds me of the Barbie perfume I had when I was five or six. :) I find the scent light and youthful. I got this bottle for $48 at Sephora.

Working Girl

Happy Wednesday to all those working girls out there! Only two more days until the weekend!!!! If you are in need of some R&R tonight and you’re sick of TV, I would suggest running to the video store (why wait for Netflix?) and renting Working Girl. I saw the film for the first time recently and it was quickly added to my favorites list. Melanie Griffith was so adorable and Harrison Ford...need I say more? Love it!

Relax and refuel…it’s almost Friday. ;)

Spring!

The downfall of spring for me is spring cleaning. For those of you clean freaks, I'm obsessed with the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser! It cuts the time of cleaning my kitchen in half...seriously. If you're interested, click here to see what to look for at the store.

Yesterday I bailed early on the cleaning festivities and went down to Sonny McLean's in Santa Monica, CA to watch the BU hockey game. I always enjoy hanging out at this little taste of Boston on the West Coast. If you're a Bostonian in LA or if you can't afford the trip to Boston and want to experience the neighborhood Irish bar feel, check it out here.

For those of you living in the Boston area and are into antiques, you should check out Brianne's post from yesterday about a great place to shop in Norwood, MA.

Salemail

It's the best thing to happen to my inbox since DailyCandy. I recently signed up for Salemail. Yes, Salemail. Thanks to Shop It To Me, I now receive e-mail alerts to notify me when my favorite clothes are on sale (in my size!). You simply tell them the stores/designers you want to know about and your sizes and you'll receive a daily or weekly e-mail from them telling you what items go on sale.

One of the items they told me was on sale was this fabulous French Connection dress (marked down to $126 from $168).

Wanna sign up, too? Click here.

P.S. You may recognize the French Connection dress from red carpet photos as Kristin Stewart wore it to promote Twilight...speaking of...Twilight comes out on DVD Saturday! Yes! :)

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!

Hmmmmmm......this day obviously makes me think of green....which makes me think of emeralds!!! Someday I'd like to splurge on a really fabulous emerald ring like this one from Tiffany & Co. Ahhhh....

But for now, there's always this Kenneth Jay Lane Ring (pic from Macys). :)
